UPDATE

With regards to the case of the 10 emaciated cats that was reported previously, we are happy to update that the cats are doing well and have been putting on weight.

URGENT: Seeking Donations for Medical Bills of Three-Legged Cat & 30 Other Stray Cats in Cattery

Yellow Girl, one of the stray cats cared for by a seasoned and committed caregiver Rosaline, was abused.

Amputation for one of the hind legs was necessary after it was brought to Mount Pleasant Medical Centre at Clementi. A police report was made; however the culprit has yet to be found.

The evening, jointly organised by the Cat Welfare Society and TiongBahru.Org, will consist of a workshop for first time fosterers or those who would like to learn new skills - kitten/cat care, special needs cat care, rehoming process, screening of potential adopters and more.

URGENT: Seeking Fosterer for Abused Cat at Jurong West St 81

As reported on Shin Min Daily on 3 August 2010, a community cat at Blk 853 Jurong West St 81 was cruelly hacked by an animal abuser (to date neither known or found) with a knife.

Appealing for SPCA Vouchers for Cat Sterilisation of Ang Mo Kio Community Cats

A caregiver in Ang Mo Kio has written in about the situation in her neighbourhood, where there are some unsterilised cats at Blk 635 Ang Mo Kio, with one of the cats having gotten pregnant and then giving birth twice. Some of the kittens of this mother cat are still around - others have died.

This caregiver wishes to sterilise the cats but requires help. So far, she has sterilised over 30 cats in the area for the past 2 years, However, her current tight financial situation makes it difficult for her to afford any sterilisation.

URGENT: Fosterers Required for 2.5 Week Old Kittens

A resident at Toh Tuck Road had written to us about spotting a mother cat as well as 3 young kittens within her condominium compound. She estimates the kittens to be about 2.5 weeks old.

The cats are all hiding in a bush on a planter, and she is concerned about them during garden maintenance time, weekly NEA fumigation, as well as the recent erratic rains and storms.

URGENT: Seeking Fosterers for Kittens Rescued from a Drain at Marsiling

A group of caregivers currently working sterilising stray cats at Marsiling Blk 33-34 were informed that some boys hadfound the kittens in a drain filled with water and rescued them.

The young cat mentioned in the following appeal has just passed away (06 Aug 2010)

However, the total medical fees came up to $938.95 and the caregiver is desperately needing help to defray the costs.
