Work Begins on New Website

10 Dec 01 - The Catwelfare Society is moving to a new server with a new design to our old brow-beaten site, and added functionality. The redesign, programming, and backend setup is a generous contribution from the Protospheres Design Studio.

The new site will be PHP/ MySQL driven, using a modified and customised version of phpWebSite under the GPL licence. The streamlining and automation of the new website is not only a boon for the understaffed, it should also help the website to update itself more regularly. New features include an improved user-posted adoption bulletin, a message board, shopping carts for merchandising and a calendar of events. The core functions of the website should be up and running by the new year.
