CWS recently received a letter from an anonymous complaint on their neighbour's cat. CWS would like to make clear that we do not investigate anonymous complaints. This is for several reasons. Firstly, we do not want people to use complaints as a means of settling personal vendettas, which has occured in the past. Secondly, we feel that if a complainant wants to complain against someone, it is only fair that they be willing to come forward and do so. Finally, without working with the complainant, it is often difficult to resolve the situation and to explain what steps have been taken to resolve the situation.
