Appeal for Blang!

Hi,

My name is Ellen Ng. My friend from the UK, Sandy Lincoln, is visiting Singapore and while swimming at Changi beach, she found an approximately 18 month old female cat who is unable to use her hind legs. According to the regular visitors of that particular area of Changi beach, the cat was attacked by a stray dog about a month ago, and has been unable to use her hind legs since that time. Sandy and I took her to the vet, Dr Hsu at the Katong branch Animal Clinic.

Dr Hsu believes her injuries may be permanent, but that she may improve in muscle tone if she receives some at home physiotherapy, stretching and massaging exercises mostly. At the moment she is more or less incontinent; this may or may not improve with time and exercise. The cat has been named Blang because she is tabby-striped, and she is well socialised with people. She is affectionate and eats well, and she moves around fairly well on her front legs.

With all the lovely, healthy cats you are trying to help, it somehow feels like an imposition to ask for help for a cat who may never recover. If you can connect me with someone who can help, Sandy and I would appreciate it. Sandy returns to the UK on Feb 2nd, and I have no place in my house to keep Blang where she will be safe from my German Shepherd.

Thanks for your attention,

Ellen Ng (Mrs)
