"Aljunied Town Council says that nine stray cats, which were causing a nuisance to residents of Block 712 Bedok Reservoir Road, have been caught and handed over to the AVA.

This was in response to STOMPer Chua's earlier posting(http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/3552/4132/322148), where he expressed frustration over the filth left behind by stray cats at the HDB block's corridor.

In an email to STOMP(19 Feb), a spokesperson from Aljunied Town Council said:

"We thank the STOMPer for the feedback on the nuisance caused by stray cats along the corridor of Blk 712 Bedok Reservoir Road.

"The Town Council and HDB carried out a joint sweep on 19 Feb and nine cats were caught and handed to AVA.

"We seek our residents' co-operation not to feed stray animals so that we can maintain a high level of cleanliness in our estates."

The cats are saved and the volunteers who are helping them needs your help, please donate to help them defray the release fees and boarding. Cat food also appreciated. SPCA is helping with the sterilisation. Let's help these cats get a second chance! Paid $922.50 to AVA and will have to pay for boading as well. There are 6 females, 3 males with dull coats. Will arrange for Vaccination and also apply for Revolution.
