About the chef:

Christopher Tung has spent the past six years as owner/chef of Ankhura, a country inn and cooking school in Tuscany where he taught Italian cooking to chefs and amateurs from all over the world. He recently moved his family to Singapore to write a book about his life in Italy and joins the Palate Sensations team to share his passion for all things Tuscan with great recipes and stories.

An Ivy League graduate, Christopher left corporate life in New York in 2001 to turn a life-long passion for food and wine into a profession.  He started out in the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant Antica Trattoria Botteganova in Siena where he worked under the tutelage of renowned chef Michele Sorrentino.  In 2004, he opened Ankhura and soon received rave reviews in the international press for his cooking and hospitality.

Christopher believes in simplicity, authenticity and craftsmanship, (and having a good time) and designs his courses to capture the restrained sophistication of Tuscan and Italian cuisine and to provide ample opportunity to go over basic technique and fundamental kitchen skills.
