URGENT: Seeking Donations for Blind and Abused Cat
Your help is needed for a harmless, gentle blind cat which is being targeted by an abuser.
A caregiver known to the Cat Welfare Society and the NTU Cat Management Network has found possible foster care for this cat, which is blind and has been beaten by a mentally disturbed person in the neighbourhood. Sighted cats in the area are able to avoid the abuser, but the blind cat cannot tell where the attacks are coming from and does not run away. He is a ginger and white neutered male and stays within his ‘comfort zone’—a small area of the estate which he knows. This makes him an easy target.
Unfortunately he is not well—has mouth ulcers or tooth problems that stop him from eating. He is losing weight and doesn’t groom himself because of the pain. His limited territory increases the chance of more attacks by the abuser, who frequents the area at all hours of the night. The cat will be taken to Mt Pleasant West for treatment on June 25, but funds are needed to help pay for its treatment.
The caregiver has used up her own limited funds caring for sick cats and her husband, a retiree, is unwilling to take on another cat at their home; the cat’s adoption by the caregiver’s mother is dependent on his vet care being paid for.
We are urgently seeking donations to help defray the medical costs required to treat this blind cat. To send a donation, kindly contact Aminah Bee at email: aminahbee@hotmail.com for more details as well as modes of forwarding funds.
Thanks.
