SHIN MIN DAILY (3 Aug 2010) Jurong West: Secret Animal Abuser Cat with a Knife

According to the news report, the male sterilised cat had been a well-loved, docile and cute community cat who had been in the area for the last 3 to 4 years.

On the day of the incident at about 10.50am, a Mr Liu heard the cat miaowing incessantly and louder and usual. He found the cat sitting in a drain in a weak state, bleeding profusely from a very deep cut on his back. Mr Liu immediately carried the cat and ran to the nearby clinic to seek medical help. The doctor at the clinic immediately put antiseptic and medication on the wound and then bandaged it.

Because of the shape and size of the wound (straight, deep, size of a rectangular box), it appeared to have been inflicted by a sharp hacking instrument.

The cat is currently recuperating from its injury, but fosterers who are experienced with tending to injured cats are urgently required to care for the cat.

How You Can Help:

We are urgently seeking fosterers who are experienced with wound cleaning and dressing to help tend to this abused cat.
