URGENT: Seeking Fosterers/Adopters for Mother Cat and Kittens

On the evening of 29 Aug 2010, my boyfriend's family found 1 mother cat and 4 kittens hidden in an old box that's stashed behind their living room couch. They're unable to keep them and we are desperately looking for homes for the cats.

Amber and Kittens

Currently, the cats are staying at a friend's till the cats can be adopted. However, this is only a temporary measure because they are unable to house the cats for long. I am also looking for people who can foster the cats till they are adopted.

There is 1 mother cat (Amber) and 4 kittens up for adoption in total: 3 black & white and 2 tabby as shown in the photo. Genders are not confirmed yet as the kittens are only a few days old and are really fresh from the oven.

Amber and Kittens

Amber is relatively young, probably not older than a year. From the looks of it, she's most likely a Singapura cat. She's very sweet, affectionate, friendly and trusting. She seems very comfortable around humans. The kittens are still dependent on her for milk and support as they have not weaned off her yet. Amber has been successfully litter box trained and all 4 kittens have also opened their eyes.

We've also done a physical check on all 5 cats and they are flea free. We've also given the mother cat a wipe down with wet wipes as a temporary measure till her kittens are less dependent on her before we give her a proper bath. Furthermore, it's probably also important that the kittens recognise their mother's smell till their senses are better developed.

How You Can Help:

We are urgently seeking fosterers to house the cats until they are adopted, or adopters who can open their homes and hearts to these lovely kitties.

Adopters must fulfill the following criteria:

1. have a real love for cats and not just cos they're cute and furry
2. preferably have experience in owning/keeping a cat
3. provide a copy of IC, valid living address and contact number, if adoption is successful
4. to vaccinate and immunise the kittens upon adoption
5. to sterilise the kittens once they are 6 months old
5. to vaccinate, immunise and sterilise the mother cat upon adoption

P/S: Kittens will not be released to adopters till they are old enough and have weaned off their mother.

Interested fosterers or adopters, please kindly contact Elaine at email lucidity@gmail.com. Else, please kindly help to spread the word.

Thanks!
