URGENT: Seeking Donations for Community Cat Afflicted with Kidney Problems

A community cat affectionately named Chipmunk was found by his caregiver looking somewhat sick, with a loss of appetite. The caregiver had intended to take Chipmunk to the vet, but he went missing for 2 weeks before suddenly reappearing at a school nearby one night. By this time, Chipmunk was extremely skinny.

The caregiver caught him and brought him to the vet the next day. The vet diagnosed Chipmunk with a kidney problem - he was also very dehydrated. The cat had to be hospitalised for about 5 days so that he could be on the drip.

After his discharge, Chipmunk was boarded and was sent to the vet every alternate day to continue with his IV drip treatment. A fosterer living nearby was found to take Chipmunk in for the time being, and to administer the drip herself.

Chipmunk is now recuperating at the fosterer's home but will need long-term medical care. He has to be fed with prescription food for cats with kidney problems, given medication 4 times a day and then put on the drip every alternate day.

His medical bills stands at SGD 557.40 at the moment.
