URGENT: [SA079] Seeking Donations for Community Kitten with Rectal Prolapse
This community kitten was found bleeding from her anus, which was looking raw and red.
A caregiver rushed her to the vet, where she was found to have a rectal prolapse. The vet had to sedate the kitten to push the colon back into the anus before stitching it up. However, this is merely a temporary procedure and the prolapse may recur. If it does, then invasive surgery has to be done, though that is not recommended for now due to the kitten's young age.
The caregiver is currently boarding the cat to ensure that she recovers well.
The total medical and transportation costs came up to SGD 179.25.
