Here are the ways in which you can help the Cat Welfare Society.

We need people with an interest or expertise in:

Community Cat Caregivers
- promote and practice responsible feeding
- ensure that the cats in the colony are all sterilised
- seek medical care if required
- report cases of abuse to SPCA and the police
Cat Welfare Mediators
- engage and build relationships with management committees and their officers
- talk to complainants to help resolve conflicts with mutually acceptable solutions
- build and nurture caregivers' network
Administrator (Part-Time Position - Paid) - Filled
- assist with review of administrative procedures and development of systems
- assist with the completion of filings for the organization
- coordinate the processing of sterilisation reimbursement cheques for payment
- coordinate the online sales orders
- keep track of the merchandise inventory and event sales
- process incoming bills and outgoing cheques
- administer the info@catwelfare.org email
- general duties such as bookkeeping, filing, requisition of supplies, etc.
Sterilisation Hotline/Email Administrator - Filled
- attend to the catsnip hotline and/or email at least once every 2 days
- book sterilisation slots for caregivers at nearest available vet clinic
- maintain good relationship with vets
- assist vet clinics with ground problems or issues
Website & Database Administrator
- maintain the Society's website and servers
- ensure that the domain name and hosting services are promptly renewed
- implement new features or updates when required
- maintain the Society's email database
- ensure the smooth delivery of each email bulletin
Membership Administrator - Filled
- administer the membership@catwelfare.org email
- maintain the Society's membership database
- ensure that membership payments are made and recorded
- mail out membership cards promptly
- keep track of membership expirations and send prompt reminders for renewal
- coordinate with administrator on membership payments and records
- coordinate with database administrator on new entries and updates
Volunteer Coordinator
- administer the volunteer@catwelfare.org email
- maintain the Society's volunteer database
- coordinate with database administrator on new entries or updates
- send out volunteer appeals when required and coordinate responses
Special Appeals Administrator - Filled
- put up special appeals for assistance up on the website prompty
- edit posts for best impact
Education Officers
- have good oratory and presentation skills
- available to conduct talks during school hours and weekends
- create suitable educational materials such as powerpoint slides and other visuals or props
- source for translators for educational materials if required
Media Officers
- be the point of liaison for any media enquiries
- draft and/or coordinate replies to forum pages
- pitch stories to the media
- maintain good media relations with various channels
- oversee the production of the Society's newsletter
Events Officers
- source for suitable event venues and sponsors
- manage all aspects of event from concept to execution
- ensure adequate marketing is done through website, Facebook, Twitter and email bulletins
- assign tasks and manage volunteers
- keep track of event expenditures and sales with proper records
- coordinate with administrator on accounting of event expenditures and sales
Day or Project Volunteers
- assist in events to set up or pull down, give out information sheets and brochures, selling merchandise
- assist in writing for the newsletter
- assist in designing marketing or education materials
