Charcoal is a gentle cat with a resilient spirit. Charcoal was rescued from an offshore island, where he was suffering from severe feline stomatitis. Due to this condition, he underwent a full mouth extraction and no longer has any teeth. He’s still recovering, and as part of his healing process, he’ll need a foster or adoptive home that is comfortable with giving him medication.
Charcoal may seem fearful but he is kind and gentle at heart. When picked up, he may freeze in fear, but he will not react aggressively. He simply needs time and patience to feel safe and comfortable around people.
Charcoal is looking for an experienced, patient foster or adopter who understands how to work with shy cats. With the right care and a calm, loving environment, Charcoal can learn to trust humans again and eventually blossom into a loving companion.

Adoption Criteria:

Primary Adopter must be a working adult who understands that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment, including financial responsibilities.

Cats must be kept indoors for their safety and well-being.

Proper cat-proofing is essential! This includes meshing and/or installing appropriate grilles on windows and gates. Feel free to check in if you have difficulties meshing but can provide other alternative to keep the cats safe.

Food: They must be fed good quality wet and dry food to ensure their health and happiness.

Vet Care: Regular check-ups and medical attention are required to keep them healthy.

Adoption Fee: There is an adoption fee, and the signing of an adoption contract will be required.

Home Visits: The adopter must allow a pre-adoption home visit, as well as periodic visits (pre-arranged) from the fosterer/rescuer.
