Introducing CWS CatChip

CWS launches new CatChip programme on 1 May 2025 – a programme exclusively for responsible caregivers and fosterers’ pet & foster cats.
Our soft-launch in April 2025 has already seen us help microchip 150 cats through our vet partners.

CWS will be helping registered, responsible cat caregivers and fosterers microchip their cats for free. We are committed to helping these remarkable individuals who provide care to so many of our Singapore cats in their journey to comply with the Cat Management Framework by defraying the costs of compliance.

In Q1 we reached out to our caregiver community and compiled a count of the number of pet and foster cats under their care. The numbers were staggering. While our surveys showed that cat owners had an average of 3 cats each, our caregiver community had an average of 10 cats each under their care. With foster cats being rehomed, there would also be a continuing need to help with microchipping costs.

CWS has therefore launched our new programme – CatChip – to help responsible cat caregivers in priority with microchipping their cats. We will help both pet and foster cats in recognition of their contributions to our community.

Once we gain traction with helping the caregiver community, we will extend our assistance to responsible fosters as well.

CWS will be launching the CatChip 2025 fundraiser on 4 May 2025 to raise $50,000 to help 1000 cats be microchipped. This will cover the microchip cost as well as transportation costs.
