Meet Cora – a resilient, loving girl looking for a second chance
Cora is a 5-year-old sweetheart with a tough past and a heart full of love. Once a community cat, she was found outdoors with a severely rotted tail, likely from an old injury that went untreated. She was in pain and fighting to survive, but after a successful surgery, her tail was safely amputated.
Her injury hasn’t slowed her down one bit—Cora moves, jumps, plays, and uses the litter box without any issues. She’s been kept strictly indoors since her rescue and has adjusted beautifully to home life.
After her recovery, Cora was adopted into a loving home. Unfortunately, her adopter was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and is no longer able to care for her. Through no fault of her own, Cora is once again searching for a forever home.
About Cora:
* 5 years old
* Female, sterilized (with ear tip)
* FIV/FELV negative
* Vaccinations and Revolution up to date
* Litter box trained
* Indoor-only cat
* Amputated tail has no impact on her mobility or toileting
Cora is affectionate and people-oriented. She loves being patted, especially rubs on her bum, and will happily seek out your attention. She’s also clever and food motivated—she knows basic tricks like sit, stand, high five, shake hands, and even how to go through a hoop.
She is best suited for a single-cat household. While she can potentially live with other cats, she will need a lot of time, patience, and slow introductions to adjust.
Cora has survived the streets, overcome injury, and shown nothing but love and trust despite it all. If you’re looking for a loyal, interactive companion and are ready to offer her the stability and care she deserves, Cora may be the one for you.
