March 2025: Baby Percy, a friendly stray cat, sought refuge in a new compound after being bullied by other strays. Initially healthy with a minor nail injury, he was lovingly cared for by locals. Later that month, he went missing and was found limping badly. A vet confirmed a broken bone, not just a paw wound. With limited funds, the group considered surrendering him to AVS, risking euthanasia.
Marlene stepped in to assist with the cost, and her vet recommended surgery or amputation. Just before amputation, a specialist suggested casting instead.
April: When healing stalled, surgery with an IM pin was attempted, but failed.
May: The cast was reapplied, and as others withdrew financial support, Marlene’s costs rose to nearly $10K. Percy was also neutered to help his chances to be adopt.
June: Marlene took him in and a second surgery was needed due to slow healing and skin issues. He is now being fostered by Marlene.
Aug: He’s expected to fully recover by August.
Call to Action: Baby Percy, just over a year old, is energetic, affectionate, and thrives on human companionship. We’re now seeking a loving forever home for him. please WA +65 9048 9075.
